Le vocabulaire non standard dans le roman policier bulgare
Gueorgui Armianov
Bulgarian crime fiction first emerged in the late 1930s and has since experienced considerable evolution. This article examines, from a linguistic perspective, the development of the genre over the past 70 to 80 years, with particular emphasis on the gradual incorporation of non-standard vocabulary in character portrayals, narrative scenes, and dialogue. Until now, such an analysis has not been conducted within the field of Bulgarian linguistics. The present study aims to establish a foundation for this line of examination while addressing numerous existing gaps. Particular attention is paid to the introduction of non-standard vocabulary into this genre, the changes in its use, its misuse, as well as the stylistic and aesthetic effects of this process.
