Les soliloques se baladent ; Quelle traduction pour quelle poésie en argot ?

Translating poetry is a fruitful source of problems. What about poetry written in non-conventional French? We can also question the possibility of translating slang into itself. Indeed, how to translate poetry carrying a stigma slang by rendering all its eloquence? Poetry and slang, both weave conflicting links with translation, and it is their conjunction that interests us here. For corpus, we chose to work on the translations of François Villon’s Ballades en argot and the extended translation that the rapper Vîrus proposes of Jehan Rictus’ work: Les Soliloques du Pauvre.
