De l’argot dans Brassens ?

Is there slang in French singer and poet Georges Brassens’ texts? He is famous for his risqué topics and the stylistic heterogeneity of his lyrics including frequent use of colloquial French. However, specialists such as J. Cellard or P. Guiraud do not even mention his name in their analyses of slang in French literature. In this paper I have examined some of the slang terms in Garitte’s Brassens dictionary (2017) and looked into the results of an online questionnaire survey on the way Brassens talks about the human body.
