Otherness appears in different forms in the works of Annie Ernaux, for whom sociology is inseparable from literature. In the present study we will focus on the presentation of oneself as another in Mémoire de fille (2016), a text not much studied from this point of view, but where this subject is central. We will seek to understand how the clichés and stereotypes, multiple in the text, can intervene in the presentation of this otherness of oneself.
